Luxury Cotswold Property of the Month

Foxhill Manor is our Property of the Month for February 2015

Celebrate in Style at Foxhill Manor, the Cotswolds

This grand old manor was built way back in 1909, designed by a Yorkshire architect; Joseph Lancaster Ball. Local craftsmen originally constructed the manor and local craftsmen have recently renovated this fine estate, preserving all its authentic design elements.

Situated in the heart of the Cotswold Hills, within an easy drive of the beautiful towns of Broadway and Chipping Camden, Foxhill Manor provides the perfect escape for that sophisticated gathering or gourmet getaway.

Perched elegantly amongst the 400-acre Farncombe estate, it offers many beautiful woods, footpaths and lakes to explore. Breathtaking views stretch out around the manor, making this a gorgeous backdrop for any celebration.

This stunning estate is split up into many impressive rooms. It has eight luxuriously styled bedrooms, three which are suites. The suites offer state of the art facilities, including en suite bathrooms, flat screen TVs, lounge areas, Ruark radios and tablets.

A stately ballroom has pride of place in the manor, offering sleek wooden flooring, sumptuous chandeliers and a huge featured fireplace that adds an intimate touch amongst all the richness of decor. A hand painted mural of trees adorns one wall, giving beautiful detailing that really draws the eye.

The ballroom would make a magnificent space to hold a wedding reception or large party. With its lavish design you would really feel like the Lord and Lady of the Manor, and would surely have many incredible memories to take away.

Opulence, meets retro modern design, is how to describe the dining area. Cotswold greens and greys are the backdrop with eclectic art pieces livening up the wall space. Also including a log fire for those chilly evenings, you can relax back with your favourite tipple, chat about the day’s events while enjoying a three course dinner.

The drawing room is designed for plush comfort with a relaxed, sophisticated ambience. Soft tones of cream, grey and green have been merged with splashes of bright aubergine and tangerine, sparking some pizzazz. Gather friends and family here for after dinner drinks or have a more formal affair with a corporate gathering.

After a long day being fabulous at your girly gathering, family get together or stressful corporate event, move things to a less formal area of the manor – the media room. It couldn’t be more at opposite ends of the spectrum to the decor of the rest of the house, but design should surprise you with its quirky character.

This fantastic room is filled with comfortable bean bags, games consoles and comic book wall coverings. Perfect to let the big kid in you, have some fun.

If you are staying here for a few days, get out into the surrounding areas to Cheltenham for the Cheltenham festival or Stratford Upon Avon; the birthplace of Shakespeare. Take a walk through the 400-acre estate to nearby Broadway. This picture-perfect village has plenty of local cafes, shops, bars and museums for you to explore.

The Cotswold’s is really the essence of rural, traditional country living. Stunning scenery and diverse surrounding villages, it’s the perfect place to get lost for the weekend.

Foxhill Manor provides everything you need to have that legendary social event. Treat yourself to a stay at this stately manor and enjoy all the inspired luxuries it has to offer.
