Nestled on the edge of Chipping Campden in the beautiful Cotswold’s, this stunning property is a grand sight to see. Made of the creamy, traditional Cotswold stone with professionally thatched roofing, this palatial abode offers luxurious living with a rustic twist.

Depending where you look on the internet this property is called several names from Campden Edge to Campden House however the real name is Elkstones.

It contains five double bedrooms, four with en suite bathrooms, so plenty of room to have the family and friends stay over. Each en suite has been individually designed to create a theme for each room.  They contain mixes of cool stone, polished black marble and Moroccan inspired mosaic tiling.

The master bedroom has the ultimate in decadent living, coming complete with a free standing, mineral cast bath, conveniently sculpted to fit two. It sits on a platform near to the window, allowing glorious views of the surrounding countryside.

The lounge has inspired design elements, conveniently divided into two areas. One as a more relaxation area, with a huge, L-shaped deep sofa to sink back into while you watch your favourite movie, or drift away into another world with a novel from the bookcase.

The other area has been made more formal, with entertaining guests in mind. A Baby Grand piano has pride of place so you can serenade your guests at the next social gathering, while they relax back sipping a glass of champagne.

The heart of the house is the kitchen, oozing rustic charm, the cabinets and workstations have been made of the finest oak and granite, with classic limestone tiled flooring. A ten seater, solid timber table really brings together the kitchen decor. It’s a place where you can savour family meals, while enjoying the views through the beautiful French doors.

A separate dining room with a more formal ambience, gives you the perfect space to entertain your guests with your home cooking extravaganzas. Complete with lavish lighting and plush decor it evokes glamour, perfect for social gatherings.

Apart from the main rooms, the house comes complete with a pool and relaxation area, a study and cinema room. Impressive features like these make this beautiful building not just a home, but a place to unwind and indulge.

Striking sculptures stand out in various areas of the lush gardens, a centre point being the terrace space with a handy BBQ to use on those sunny days. Rolling meadow pours out from around the house, taking the eye out over never ending views of the impressive, Cotswold’s countryside.

Elkstones is situated nearby to some charming little villages and towns, well worth exploring. You could walk the Cotswold Way or browse local markets and antique shops. For the more adventurous you can go horse riding, fishing or even hot air ballooning, all within an easy drive.

The house is surrounded by rolling Cotswold Hills and the river Cam, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Chipping Campden is well known for its historic wool market and lovely rural shops and pubs.

This house really has so much to offer. Its rural charm mixed with modern design creates homey, comfortable living and that is why it is January’s Property of the Month.
