Cotswolds Events You Can’t Miss For 2015

With the enchanting landscape and ethereal beauty of the Cotswolds, it’s a go to place for great vacations and memorable day trips. If the golden coloured villages basking in the cool glow of the evening sun don’t make you fall in love with the place, then the number of pubs, rustic churches and loveable locales certainly would. It’s also an extremely popular destination, so you can be sure that next year’s calendar will be chock-a-block with interesting events and festivals.

The Cheltenham Festival

One of the first events next year is the Cheltenham Festival for horse racing. It will be held from the 10th to the 13th of March at the Cheltenham Racecourse, Gloucestershire, and will certainly be jam-packed with action and fast-paced horse racing events. It kicks off in style on the Centenary Day with the Champion Hurdle and culminates in a nail-biting Gold Cup on the last day. It will no doubt be one of the most popular racing events next year.

Prescott Bike Festival

The Prescott Bike Festival is another adrenaline-filled event that is an absolute must for everyone’s calendar. Known for its uniqueness, it is an annual hill climbing event to be held on the 12th of April. It takes place on the Prescott Hill Climb Circuit located in Cheltenham, and no excitement or adventure loving person should give it a miss.

Wychwood Music Festival

Drawing thousands of people from faraway places, this musical event being held for 3 days from the 29th to the 31st of May is an annual event held at the Cheltenham Racecourse. Cheltenham Food and Drink Festival

What is an events list without mention of food festivals? If you love to eat and drink wonderful culinary delights, the Cheltenham Food and Drink Festival is what you’ve been looking for. Held from the 12th to the 14th of June at Montpellier Gardens, it is a delightful event that showcases the very best of local produce — this event brings to the fore the fine cooking talent of the localities.

Blenheim Palace Flower Show

There is no dearth for flowers at the Cotswolds and the Blenheim Palace Flower Show is the perfect place to witness the beauty and majesty of flowers in all their bloom. A dizzying and dazzling display of exceptionally colourful flowers will be on display from the 19th to the 21st of June at the Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire. The stunning display is on the vast gardens of the palace and gives visitors a great day of colourful enjoyment.
